BANGLADESH DRAW INAUGURAL TEST By Ben Carbonaro, Dhaka

Bangladesh has drawn its inaugural test match since gaining test status. However, Bangladesh showed plenty of promise in the match with players like Habib-ul-Bashar hitting a century and a fifty and opening bowler Hasib-ul-Hassan taking four wickets in India's first innings. They will improve as they play more tests and hopefully, their first test win is nothing more than one to five years away.

India put up a good fight and went into the test as favourites. Special credit for India should go to Rahul Dravid (98 & 43) and Sachin Tendulkar (86 & 67). Bowling wise, India's best bowler was captain Sourav Ganuly with his medium pacers who picked up six wickets for the match.

Man Of The Match was awarded to Habib-ul-Bashar for his outstanding display with the bat (67 & 101). Test Cricket's newest playing nation did extremely well to be able to force a draw against India, one of the test cricket world's most dominant teams at home and in other parts of the subcontinent.
