World Cricket Manager is a cricket management game written using Visual C++ by Glenn Stiemens. Development has now ceased.

Latest news (20/04/2005)

Work on World Cricket Manager has ceased. Glenn is now working for Rockingham Games on their sequel to Michael Vaughan's Cricket Manager, Cricket Coach.

Latest news from Glenn (25/07/2003)

bulletA new website has now been opened. It is being run by Gio and Andrew Best primarily but I'll be contributing to the content of the site.
bulletA new forum is available. Registration is free and takes only a couple of minutes at the most. Please register and contribute to discussions about the development of the game.
bulletA new feature list is now out. It is by now means final but does illustrate what I hope World Cricket Manager will initially include.
bulletThe project is currently recruiting a team of researchers. You'll find a thread on the forums and also on the WCM forums. If you think you can help out please get in touch.

Planned Features (some may not be included)

bulletManage any county side from England - earn the right to manage test/non-test plating nations.
bulletCorrect competition structures and overseas/transfer rules for England.
bulletEnhancement packs planned - these will add new leagues and competitions from other nations.
bulletReal umpire names and characteristics.
bulletAccurate simulation of both four day and one day matches. CPU managers make accurate and correct decisions based on detailed AI.
bulletFull realistic pitch and weather conditions, that match real life.
bulletDeal with the media - backing one player in the press might cause other players in the squad to disapprove and seek a new county; pressurise international managers to select your in-form players.
bulletCharts and graphs provide detailed analysis on where games were won and lost.
bulletDetailed player and team instructions; chase quick singles, encourage big hitting or order your deadly fast bowler to bowl bouncers on a hard wicket.
bulletFull international simulation - Contracted players, A teams, U19 sides. Overseas tours include tour matches against local opposition.
bulletApply for vacant managerial positions, resign from your current job or feel the chairman's axe fall on your neck.
bulletDetailed training options - employ batting/bowling coaches.
bulletPrint facility.
